When you find a job that’s “tailor-made” for you, you don’t say no.
D.C.’s MakeOffices announced the hire of Shana Glenzer as Chief Marketing Officer on Tuesday. Glenzer, who joins the company from Aquicore, will help lead MakeOffices’ national expansion this year.
New MakeOffices coworking spaces in Philly and Chicago are slated to open in early February. The company will be announcing further expansion in the next few months, according to a statement.
The first of Make’s spaces in Philly is scheduled to open on Feb. 15, but Technical.ly Philly recently got a tour. Read on for a look at the 25th-floor views from Two Commerce Square.
In Chicago, the first of three locations will open Feb. 1.
“It’s been an exciting few months for MakeOffices,” MakeOffices founder and CEO Raymond Rahbar said. “We’ve been keenly focused on new market expansion and now with openings in Chicago and Philadelphia in our sights, we believed it was the right time to add a major new player like Shana to the team.”
“It’s no secret that I’ve been passionate about the growth and success of startups, technology firms and services providers within the D.C. area,” Glenzer said in a statement. “MakeOffices presented a unique opportunity to focus on building communities of entrepreneurs, small businesses and startups in cities across the U.S. This was a role that felt tailor-made for me.”
Glenzer is a well-known figure in #dctech — she cofounded DCFemTech and has worked to help organize DC Tech Meetup.
