A film and video equipment company will be moving part of its operation into 12,500 square feet in Industry City, according to a report in Real Estate Weekly.
AbelCine will locate its development center in the billion dollar Sunset Park innovation center. AbelCine, founded in 1989, has offices in Manhattan, Chicago and Los Angeles. It employs more than 120 people. Its Industry City development center will feature “an engineering lab where products are designed to address specific technical needs within the industry.”

The company, as well as the industry, is shifting into virtual reality and 360 video equipment and services for creatives.
The addition of AbelCine marks what seems like a strong fall for Industry City. In September it announced the addition of Camp David, a creative and design-focused coworking space, and earlier in November it added a creative and design division of the massive PR global corporation Publicis.
