Former Vice-President for Business Development and Innovation at the Economist Group, Justin Hendrix, joined the NYC Media Lab as its Acting Executive Director in August. He was just named permanently to the position, replacing its founding director, Roger Neal, according to a post on the lab’s blog.
Launched by the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, and Columbia University in 2010, NYC Media Lab is a public-private partnership that seeks to generate research, knowledge transfer, and talent development to advance New York City’s media industry. Charter member companies include Verizon, Hearst, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, NBC Universal, ESPN and HBO.
Don’t confuse the NYC Media Lab with the more recently launched Made in NY Media Center.
