New half-acre lab comes to Navy Yard

Global firm BioMérieux opened its new office, lab and manufacturing facility in the Navy Yard on Wednesday. The company has had a presence in Philadelphia since 2019, but makes an even bigger commitment to the city for its stong talent pool, John Shultz, senior director of sales and marketing, told Technical.ly.

The company chose the Navy Yard because of the flexibility to build whatever building it wanted and proximity to public transportation.
