The Social Innovation Lab (SIL) at Johns Hopkins University accelerates early-stage ventures and visionary leaders committed to building innovative, sustainable, and scalable solutions for a healthier, more prosperous world. Open to both Johns Hopkins affiliates and members of the greater Baltimore community, SIL fosters mission-driven ventures with measurable social impact.
Through a structured cohort program, participants gain critical skills in customer discovery, financial literacy, impact measurement, storytelling, and fundraising. SIL provides access to an extensive network of mentors, advisors, and funders, empowering entrepreneurs to refine and grow their ventures. Participants who complete the program receive a $5,000 grant stipend, with an opportunity to win a $15,000 cohort prize.
Backed by Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures, SIL serves as a launchpad for changemakers dedicated to driving positive social impact in Baltimore and beyond.
