Meet NYC Resistor
NYC Resistor is a Brooklyn-based hacker collective dedicated to learning, sharing, and making. As a community-driven space in Boerum Hill, members collaborate on projects, exchange knowledge, and foster innovation across hardware, software, and creative technology.
Through public events and workshops, NYC Resistor welcomes makers of all skill levels to explore electronics, coding, fabrication, and more. With a strong foundation in open-source principles and hands-on experimentation, the collective provides a hub for tinkerers, engineers, artists, and hackers to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
Run as a member-supported 501(c)(3) organization, NYC Resistor thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and a shared passion for building—whether it’s robots, interactive art, or DIY electronics. Join us at our public nights, connect via Discord, or dive into our microcontroller mailing list to become part of the NYC Resistor community.
