Vishal Shah

Vishal Shah is the dean of the Division of Math, Science, and Health Careers at the Community College of Philadelphia. As an internationally recognized scientist, he has published over 75 peer-reviewed articles. As a professor and an academic leader, Dr. Shah has significant experience in developing workforce-aligned programs from certificate-level to graduate degrees. Dr. Shah’s academic journey spans three continents, and his diverse experiences have given him insights into collaborative approaches that increase organizational efficiency and impact. Dr. Shah received his Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Microbiology from Sardar Patel University, India. He was selected as UNESCO ROSTE fellow, to conduct research in Prague, Czech Republic and pursued his Post-doctorate research at NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
