Just months after he was appointed Chief Data Officer (and about a year before Nutter was slated to leave office), Tim Wisniewski released an ambitious plan to make open data last beyond the Nutter administration.
He’ll get to carry out that plan under new Mayor Jim Kenney, according to an announcement released over the weekend. Though Chief Innovation Officer Adel Ebeid is leaving, Wisniewski, 27, will remain as Chief Data Officer. (Remember that during the primary, Kenney said he would retain the Chief Data Officer position and continue to uphold Nutter’s open data executive order.)
Pioneering police IT chief Charles Brennan will replace Ebeid as Chief Technology Officer (“Chief Innovation Officer” is being retired, for now).
Technical.ly recently named Wisniewski as one of nine public-sector Chief Data Officers to watch.
