It’s essentially a Common App for local high schools and charter schools.

PhillySchoolAPP launched last week, offering a standard application that can be used for more than 70 District, charter and Catholic schools, the Public School Notebook reported.

Those behind the site, including education nonprofit Philadelphia Schools Partnership, say it’s an effort to streamline a complicated admissions process, but others say it feels like a move toward less school choice for families.
