Why Open Data Delaware is hosting its next event at a library

Learning new technology can be daunting, which is why Open Data Delaware is hosting a Code & Coffee event next week at the Brandywine Hundred Library, a clear venue change from the usual meeting at 1313 Innovation.
Why? Because libraries tend to be more familiar to non-technologists. “We’re purposely trying to get out of our comfort zone and into more community spaces. Our goal for most of our upcoming meetups is to host them in places that we don’t normally,” explained cofounder Ryan Harrington. “We want to meet people where they are and remove barriers to entry, especially for people that might be new to the idea of open data or civic tech.”
The event will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 10 a.m.
