As of this week, all three counties in Delaware are covered by online emergency response platform Smart911, officially introduced to Kent County this week.
Smart911 expedites the emergency response process by sending a “safety profile” of 911 callers to police dispatchers, removing the time-consuming step of asking for personal information.

“Through Smart911, you have the opportunity to put more information into the system. such as your home address, any medications that you’re on, pictures of your children, anything about your residence — all this information can be put into that safety profile,” Kent’s assistant public safety director Kevin Stipple told Delaware Public Media earlier this week. “So when you call 911, that’s less questions we have to ask because it’s right there in front of our dispatchers.”
