It may be eight months away, but festivalgoers are getting ready to snag their presale passes.

The Firefly Festival returns to The Woodlands in Dover June 18 to 21, 2020 — and if you’re already planned to go to the four-day campout-slash-concert-slash-fully immersive break from reality, regardless of the music lineup, know that the best deals are for 24 hours this week, from noon on Wednesday, Oct. 23 to noon on Thursday, Oct. 24.

This will be the festival’s second year since being acquired by AEG Presents, also the parent company of Coachella. The fest is a major economic draw for the state, bringing in $68 million as of 2014.

Four-day passes will start at $229 per person for general admission, while VIP passes that include special viewing areas, free water, upgraded bathrooms and access to exclusive areas are $679. Meanwhile, the Super VIP pass, at $2,499, also includes meals, swag, premium viewing and golf cart concierge.

One-day passes, which are not available in the presale, last year sold for $150. Also not available for presale is the Super Duper VIP pass, which last year included amenity-filled accommodations at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino for $7,200.

Presale purchasers will receive a “loyalty patch,” part of a program launched last year, which will make them eligible for on-site perks.

If you’re short on cash, you can break your payment into three equal payments, with the first due at the time of your order and the subsequent payments due in November and December — not a bad way to avoid paying interest on a credit card payment.
