Under Mayor Jim Kenney, the city will have its first digital director.
Her name is Stephanie Waters and she’s a digital content strategist who’s worked on two failed gubernatorial campaigns: Martha Coakley’s 2014 run in Massachusetts and Barbara Buono’s 2013 New Jersey run. Waters, 28, of Point Breeze, most recently worked as Kenney’s digital campaign director.

The role will “ensure the Mayor’s Office uses technology to help build an effective and efficient government that is accessible for every neighborhood,” according to a release.
