ChargeItSpot, the Center City startup that installs charging stations in retail locations, recently launched an app that maps the nearest free ChargeItSpot charging stations when your phone is dying.

Since April, when the startup delivered 150 sheet cakes to potential customers, its clientele has jumped from three local retailers to 68, with 50 in the region, CEO Doug Baldasare told the Daily News.

ChargeItSpot has raised a total of $1.15 million from investors that include local angel group Robin Hood Ventures, said Baldasare.
