Apply for up to $6,500 in funding for ExCITe Center’s multi-disciplinary research project

This fall, the Philadelphia Opera Company will debut its “Virtual Opera” that will allow viewers to watch the opera from the perspective of a chorus member. It’s one of three projects that were funded by Drexel University’s ExCITe Center‘s “Seed Projects” grants.

The ExCITe Center is now looking for more multi-disciplinary research project proposals. It’ll fund each project up to $6,500. Winners will also get to use the ExCITe Center to work on their projects.

The only hard and fast requirement is that the project is a “multi-disciplinary,” so that leaves the door wide open. Check out last year’s winners, which include a game that can act as physical therapy for children with cerebral palsy and a “sonic landscape” for Philly, for inspiration.
