This week: An in-demand Node.Philly meetup, the monthly Philly Tech Meetup Founders Happy Hour and a fireside chat with C++ lovers.

Node.Philly August Meetup: Get to know the Node.js community in Philly at this meetup. Meetup organizer Tim Savery says he’s releasing 10 more tickets today for the previously at-capacity event (Savery says there’s limited space at this venue), so if you want to attend, hop to it. Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Philadelphia Center for Architecture, 1218 Arch St. RSVP. FREE.

Philly Tech Meetup’s August 2012 Founders Happy Hour: You know the drill: mingle with some of our entrepreneurship scene at this monthly happy hour. Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Location TBARSVP. FREE.

Juliana Reyes began as lead reporter at Technical.ly Philly in July 2012. Previously, she was a city services beat reporter for the Philadelphia Daily News, as part of a project called “It’s Our Money.” She is learning to drive, learning to bike (in the city) but is an expert at taking SEPTA. She grew up in North Jersey and Manila, Philippines but she left the tropics for Bryn Mawr College, where she majored in linguistics. She now lives in West Philly.
