Creative entrepreneurs, educators and community orgs, take note: Delaware Division of the Arts (DDA) has opened its annual online application process for grants for arts programming and projects taking place during fiscal year 2022, which runs September 2021 to August 2022.
All applications this year will be submitted through the smARTDE online system and are due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 1. Those who have not used the smARTDE system can view the login instructions and watch the 30-minute demonstration video.
Organizations that qualify for consideration include creative startups, which may apply for DDA’s comprehensive StartUp program offering training and consultation to boost the management capacity of emerging arts orgs. Once the StartUp program is a completed, these orgs qualify for general operating support, which helps to pay for annual operating expenses. Applications open Dec. 1 with a letter of intent due by Jan. 15 and an annual application deadline of March 1.
Community-based organizations may qualify for project support or Arts Access support, which provides up to $1,000 to support the presentation of performing, visual, literary, media or folk arts throughout the state.
Education organizations and individual artists may also apply for grants; TranspARTation is not available this year.
The guidelines for all grant programs are available online at arts.delaware.gov/grant-overview.
