New year, new you? Here are 24 tech jobs worth checking out

You may know Pixilated from its photobooth or the team’s role as co-organizers of Startup Soiree, but new things are brewing at the company’s Morrell Park headquarters. According to a job posting that’s been circulating, Pixilated is looking for a senior software engineer to build something from the ground up. The intriguing listing describes it as a “world class media sharing platform.”

“We’re open to ideas around code base and implementation strategy as long as they’re well thought out and apply lean and agile principles around construction,” the posting says. “This is your chance to build something unique and from scratch.”
Well, that’s exciting.

It looks like spreading knowledge about cybersecurity will be an even bigger theme in 2017, and we know lots of that expertise emanates from Baltimore. Point3 Security has a chance to teach on the topic. The startup is looking to for a “Fire Team Lead” to “help teach a very special cyber security course,” a job posting on view at ETC reads. (Editor’s note: You can’t hack paper.)
“If you feel that cyber training is not currently sufficient to thwart even light to moderate attacks and want to help change that for the better, come help us shape the future of cyber training,” the posting states.
Point3 Security graduated Accelerate Baltimore in the spring, and has been growing since then. A separate posting states that the company is also seeking account executives. If you’re interested in any of the postings, get in touch with emily@point3.net.

Speaking of open jobs, our tech jobs fair NET/WORK is coming up on Feb. 23.
Along with folks from companies looking to hire, the event at the Baltimore Museum of Industry offers free resume reviews and headshots. With talks and a happy hour to close, there’s also a general chance to learn and connect with the community. One of the companies that will be at NET/WORK made news this week. Mindgrub closed a deal to develop mobile apps for Exelon’s utilities this week. We’re told eight team members are initially working on the projects, with the potential for 13-16 in full sprint.
While they may not be connected to the new work, the Locust Point-based agency has a host of open positions that caught our eye, with developer jobs in Node.JS, PHP/Drupal, WordPress and mobile. (Note: It wasn’t specified if any of these jobs were tied to the new project.) As depicted above, the office has a climbing wall.
