RedOwl emerged from the Demo Pit victorious last week.
The Federal Hill cybersecurity company won the pitch competition at Phorum in Philadelphia on April 14.
A panel including Nate Lentz of Osage Venture Partners, Ian Gallagher of Comcast Business and Brock Weatherup of Philly Startup Leaders said their decision was “unanimous.” RedOwl, which focuses on rooting out insider threats, was the lone Baltimore startup to pitch.

While there wasn’t a monetary award and the giant check presentation that comes with it, the win does have some startup-world shine on it. After winning in the Demo Pit last year, Tesorio got into Y Combinator and raised a funding round led by First Round Capital.
RedOwl already has a West Coast presence, and last year’s $17 million Series B.
