The Usic, the marketplace for creative services based in York, Pennsylvania, will expand into Washington, D.C., and Baltimore sometime in the next few months, according to the Central Penn Business Journal.
The startup serves as an online marketplace for creatives types (artists, videographers, photographers, musicians and the like) to “[s]ell creative services to other artists, band together to get better prices [and] then cross-promote socially,” according to The Usic’s website.
Since launching in April, more than 700 artists now use the site, and Usic founder John McElligott told the Central Penn Business Journal that “it’s the right time to begin offering the marketplace to larger metro areas.”
