Today is the 83rd birthday of Vint Cerf, one of the fathers of the internet, who, along with Robert Kahn, co-designed TCP/IP in the early 1970s. This set of protocols let computers talk to each other across networks, which would later change the way we communicate, work and play.

Cerf is still very much around, currently at Google in the position of Chief Internet Evangelist.

Just like in the ‘70s, today’s technology is evolving in a big way, and people with big ideas are still sought after. Let’s get into this week’s openings.
