A thriving tech hub requires doers — people who take ideas and make them real.
At Technical.ly, we celebrate those people as RealLIST Innovators, an annual list of engineers, developers, scientists, researchers, inventors and technologists working to make Pittsburgh’s ecosystem great. It’s a big tent that includes people who make the planet greener, keep humans more connected or build safer AI systems for everyday users, among many other things.
Technical.ly builds its RealLISTs by gathering nominations from the community and looking back at past reporting to find candidates. Those candidates are then asked to complete a short survey to be considered for the final list.
We’ve been publishing this list in Pittsburgh since 2021, celebrating dozens of locals in 2025, 2024, 2023 and 2022.
Now we’re back with a whole new set of talented people from our region. Keep reading to meet the 2026 RealLIST Innovators, listed in alphabetical order.
Who should be on the next RealLIST? We accept nominations for Startups, Connectors and Innovators all year long.
