Louisiana is steadily growing a resilient tech ecosystem, with startups proliferating and a new workforce training across AI, energy, agriculture, healthcare, logistics and other industries.

None of that happens without the people behind the tech.

Technical.ly’s annual RealLIST Innovators spotlights those makers, showcasing a region’s most influential inventors, software developers, scientists and engineers — people who show community leadership and collaboration alongside their technical aptitude.

This is the first time we’re running this feature in Louisiana. (Check out editions from other ecosystems here.)

Thanks to nominations from readers and ecosystem leaders, we assembled a list of 15 technologists you should know, and sent them a survey to share more about their journeys. It’s clear these are folks tackling big challenges and building real solutions.

And if there’s a person or company you feel should be highlighted here in the future — or in RealLIST Startups or RealLIST Connectors — you can submit nominations year-round.

Read on to meet Louisiana’s inaugural RealLIST Innovators.
