Starting or pivoting into a tech career is within reach for pretty much anyone in Maryland, thanks to programs across the state that exist to support the leap.

We complied a list of short-term, intensive bootcamps that can help jumpstart a career change without the pressure (or cost) of a traditional degree. And because coding is evolving, we included programs that teach AI skills as well.

Many of the opportunities below are free or offer tuition assistance. Some focus on people looking to switch careers, while others aim to get younger people into the field.

We also expanded this year’s list beyond Baltimore, highlighting programs in other regions of Maryland.

This list builds on our 2025 guide. Have a suggestion for a program we should add? Reach out to [email protected].
