No matter where you live in Louisiana, there’s probably a coworking space in a town near you — or one coming soon.
The shared workplaces, which offer connection, community and sometimes also perks like free coffee and business services, are back on the rise after a pandemic downturn that cut short the 2010s boom.
Nationally, the number of coworking locations ticked up 2.7% in early 2026, according to CoworkingCafe and Yardi Matrix, with firms targeting suburban growth over trendy urban settings.
In Louisiana, there’s a lot of variety in the options. These spaces can provide a change of scenery for remote workers, resources for entrepreneurs, impressive offices to host clients or specialty equipment for niche industries.
Fun amenities add to it, too, with some LA spots featuring farm animals, margarita machines or rooftop pools. While the big cities are home to many of them, seven of Louisiana’s eight economic development regions offer a place to land.
Southwest is the last holdout, with a space coming soon. In the meantime, Calcasieu Parish Public Library branches offer study and meeting rooms with Wi-Fi access, as well as other dedicated business services. (Public libraries in general can be a great alternative.)
