Nearly three years since opening up for business, Brooklyn’s Parcel has been acquired by Walmart, according to a report in Recode.
Parcel had been working on same-day delivery services, an area Walmart likely wants to improve on with the purchase, which Recode reports was for less than $10 million.
We covered Parcel when it first opened, in 2014. Since then, the company has moved from a consumer facing service to a business-to-business service.

Parcel was founded by Jesse Kaplan, who got his entrepreneurial start at Harvard with a late-night coffee shop he launched there, according to the company.
