Happy holidays, readers! Events are still going strong as we get into that part of the season where no one wants to work.

This week: Eat pancakes with your startup buddies, meet Uncle Bob Martin and check out some video games built by middle-schoolers participating in Bootstrap Philadelphia, a STEM program that teaches algebra.

Startup Pancakes: Simple: talk startups and eat pancakes with members of the local tech scene. Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. Benjamin’s Desk, 1701 Walnut Street, 7th floor. Center City. RSVP$2 minimum chip-in.

Bootstrap Philadelphia Expo: Get a look into Bootstrap Philadelphia, a program that teaches middle schoolers algebra by teaching them to code and build video games. At this expo, students will showcase the games they’ve built. We’ll have a more in-depth feature on the program soon. Monday, 6:30 p.m. Houston Hall at Penn, Bodek Lounge, 3417 Spruce Street. University City. RSVPFree.

Uncle Bob Martin talk: Hear from self-described “software craftsman” Uncle Bob Martin in this Agile Philly meetup. Registrations are full as of now but some might open up, so watch the RSVP page. Tuesday, 6:30 p.m – 8:30 p.m. Microsoft Office, Liberty Blvd, Malvern PA . RSVPFree.
