The popular monthly Philly Tech Meetup turned two years old this month and rang in the occasion with another round of local startup demos at the University City Science Center‘s Quorum.
This month, the presenters included:
- EssaySafe, a startup presented by Penn undergraduates Alex Rattray and Y. Clarke Hung that aims to prevent cheating on college exams. It’s run completely on GoogleDocs.
- Nooch, a mobile payment startup presented by Cliff Canan and Nate Wineland. It’s meant to be a simple way to pay back your friends if you’re not carrying cash. Nooch is currently in private beta.
- Sportaneous, a recently launched New York City-based “fitness concierge” startup presented by Simon Hau and Omar Haroun. The mobile app helps you find fitness classes and activities nearby. Haroun said the plan is to expand to other cities soon.
After the jump, watch videos from the meetup, filmed by Philly Tech Meetup videographer Jason Sherman. For more, read this Storify of the event by KingMe Social Media.
