Monetate‘s Ecommerce Quarterly, a report on ecommerce trends, is making waves. Dozens of news outlets have picked up nuggets of analysis from the report published by the Conshohocken-based ecommerce optimization shop.
GigaOM reported on Monetate’s finding that social media lags behind email and search engines when it comes to sales conversions. CNBC noted how Monetate found out that Internet Explorer is the most popular browser for online shopping during the day, while it’s Apple’s Safari that’s most popular in the evening. Business Insider reported on Monetate’s finding that the iPhone 4S helped Apple beat Google in “mobile ecommerce war.”

Mobile app backend Cloudmine is one of six companies who’s partnering with CloudBees, the Java app backend based in London, according to a press release. The Callowhill startup was also named one of Dailytekk’s top 10 mobile app development tools, according to the Cloudmine blog.
Locengine, the real-time tracking delivery service whose founder says he learned a lot from getting rejected by DreamIt Ventures, is nearly finished at the South Carolina accelerator Iron Yard, and there are some changes afoot. Co-founder Steve Palmer checked in with us to say that the company has pivoted to a tracking service for food trucks and that its Demo Day is next month. Palmer says Locengine will be based out of Lancaster, Pa. but will have a space at a coworking spot in Philly.
