From the team that brought you the Philly Beer Week app comes Shindig, a recently launched tool that allows event planners to easily create mobile apps for their events.

Shindig’s already scored some big name local clients, like the Live Arts and Philly Fringe Festival, the ongoing State of Young Philly event series and most recently, Campus Philly. It’s also partnered with Chicago tech conference SecondConf.

Check it out here.

Event planners enter listings on a web app and Shindig translates the directory onto several platforms. Pricing is based on how many people subscribe to your event series, says marketing coordinator Salas Saraiya.

Based out of Old City coworking spot Indy Hall, the seven-person staff is composed of five software developers who are also cofounders and a two-person marketing and sales team. The development team is roughly the same as the one that built the Philly Beer Week app, with CEO Corey Floyd being joined by Johnny BilottaKevin Lee, Michael Zornek and Michael James.

Floyd, 33, says Shindig makes creating a mobile app for an event series as easy as creating a blog. A resident of East Passyunk Avenue, he says he’s been developing iPhone apps since the first iPhone launched.
