When it comes to shopping around for an electrician or a plumber, Seva Call uses a simple philosophy: Don’t call us. We’ll call you.

Use the service, which launches in Philadelphia today, to find local businesses that provide a service you need. Seva Call will then contact all of them for you and all you have to do is wait for their call back and choose which business you want to hire.

Based in Washington, D.C., Seva Call has already expanded to Baltimore, Norfolk, Va. and Richmond, Va. in the last two months.

One of its three cofounders, Manpreet Singh, has Philly roots. He got his MBA from Wharton in 2009 and says he still owns his Rittenhouse Square condo.

The company’s also got their very own superhero: Seva Man.
