TONIGHT: behind the scenes of Brooklyn Makers

NYCrafted launches with an event, a report and three tours.

You can get a fast sampling of folks making innovative new physical products in New York tonight at the Navy Yard. In collaboration with NYCrafted and New York Pecha Kuchatonight you can go to the first public event in the New Lab‘s Duggal GreenhouseMakers & Shakers. It’s $15, but there’s a swag bag.

Pecha Kucha is a lightning talk presentation format where you get to talk about 20 slides for 20 seconds each. The system advances the slides, so speakers have to keep moving.

The event is in collaboration with NYCEDC, and marks the release of the State of Local Manufacturing Report. In fact, if you want to see local manufacturing up close, three Brooklyn facilities are opening their doors for free tours tomorrow:
