Rachel Haot leaves 1776NY

Rachel Haot is leaving the incubator and workspace 1776 on seemingly good terms.

Haot served as managing director there for the last year and a half, leading the company in the birth and expansion of its new Brooklyn Navy Yard location.

Haot was a uniquely visible face for the organization, attending and hosting events near constantly.

Haot gave no destination on Twitter and has updated her LinkedIn only to show that she no longer works at 1776, but not with a future company.

1776 did not answer specific questions about Haot’s departure, sending along a statement instead.

“We’re proud of the work Rachel and her team have done to build our Brooklyn Navy Yard presence and look forward to continuing 1776’s mission to support startups throughout the region,” the organization emailed.

Prior to her time at 1776, she was the chief digital officer for the state of New York, and before that held the same title for New York City.
