Fast Company’s design vertical Co.Design has a great article out about how Brooklyn design shop Pensa would reimagine the city’s streetscape in a world of autonomous vehicles.
“If you’re not worried about standing on the edge and being hit, or the noise, or the pollution from vehicles, you can think of this third place as a place to sit,” Pensa partner Mark Prommel explains in the piece.
The article, which is accompanied by some fun drawings, goes on to hypothesize a whole new public space along our streets, with cafes and meeting spaces.
