If you ever dreamed of having “Moneyball” style knowledge of baseball stats while you watch the game, Center City-based startup OneTwoSee may have architected your dream come true.
The social TV companion content provider announced a partnership with Comcast Sports Group Monday that will augment the media giant’s on-air baseball coverage with online statistics through a new feature they’re calling In Game Live.
The application is available on local CSN websites, including CSNPhilly here.
The new interactive feature will be free to all users though it’s mean to be a second-screen companion, not an overlay to Comcast’s traditional coverage. In Philadelphia that means Phillies fans can find the app on CSNPhilly.com, according to a release to Technically Philly. Other coverage areas include Chicago, New York, and the Bay Area.
In Game Live, which launched in mid-April, will offer the following features, from the press release:
- Head-to-head statistical match-ups for pitchers and hitters
- Breaking Comcast SportsNet/SNY team and local sports news
- In-game statistical analysis
- Trending player coverage from Facebook and Twitter
- Fan photos
OneTwoSee recently competed at Mobile Monday during Philly Tech Week, but lost to couponing app SnipSnap, as Technically Philly reported.
The biggest downside to this new feature?: the Phillies don’t have too many stats a fan would actually want to see right now.
