Each spring, New Yorkers are given a peek into the raw and creative edge of art and technology at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program end-of-year show.
The ITP spring show will be Tuesday and Wednesday evenings this week, at the Tisch School for the Arts in Greenwich Village.
The show will primarily feature graduating students’ thesis projects, all of which use technology toward artistic or otherwise interactive ends.
The show is free and open to the public: 5-9 Tuesday, 4-8 Wednesday. https://t.co/k0HQmwCVlZ pic.twitter.com/9fQ5AwFXnb

Two of the exhibiting students have been featured here at Technical.ly before.
- Rebecca Ricks, whose project Logged In From: places actions done online, like changing a profile pic on Facebook, in real space, showing in maps where they happened.
- Nicole He we’ve covered too many times to count, but her most recent is an intentionally esoteric artificially intelligent program that scans the universe and generates an art project that He must complete. It’s a semi-ironic take on the use of AI, made better for He’s actually conceptualizing and executing the projects the machine assigns her.
If this kind of thing sparks your interest at all, we highly recommend the show, which is free and open to the public.
