Musicians, designers, programmers and makers of all kinds will spend all day at Etsy making music on Saturday, Dec. 7th, and end it with a concert of what they created.
It’s just another day at the proverbial office for Monthly Music Hackathon NYC, an ongoing meetup of the melodically inclined, that gives everyone a chance to be part of making music.
The event really begins the night before, with a series of talks by different technical music makers, including presentation on software generated Christmas music, software as music and violinists.
The actual hackathon starts with coffee on Saturday at 10am in the Etsy offices. The creations finish up at 8pm, when they get played for the room. Some secret music presentation will go up at 10pm.
