Discover the future of healthcare at next Tuesday’s MedCity Converge, a day-long conference at the Hyatt at the Bellevue, hosted by new local healthcare news site MedCity News.

The conference will focus on a number of topics, such as healthcare efforts worthy of investment, mobile apps to serve patients and telemedicine, the practice of treating healthcare providers from afar.

Wil Yu, who leads innovation efforts at the Department of Health and Human Services, will deliver the keynote speech on how the federal government is supporting new healthcare initiatives. Other notable sessions include a 20-minute “fireside chat” with Craig Lipset, Pfizer’s head of clinical innovation, on new ways that pharmaceutical companies are using data, and a talk on the future of electronic medical records with Anil Jain, the former executive director of IT at the Cleveland Clinic. There will also be an all-day startup showcase, featuring some companies with Philly connections, like 1DocWay and AboutOne.
