This week, you will need Red Bull energy drinks. The sooner you accept this fact into your life, the easier it will be to watch repeatedly this new Red Bull advertisement featuring a cartoon Napoleon Bonaparte.
Head to the Maryland Entrepreneur Expo on Tuesday for a full day not only celebrating the region’s entrepreneurs, but giving them the tools to succeed. Wind down with the BmoreTech meetup at Cynergy in Little Italy for food, beer and a discussion of the state of Charm City’s design community. On Wednesday it’s a meeting of the Lean Startup Group, where attendees also applying to the InvestMaryland Challenge will be able to waive half the application fee. Thursday head back to El Rodeo in Towson for the second installment of the Baltimore Social Media Meetup. And Friday? You’ll be so tired of geeks, you won’t want to see them on a form of transportation that rhymes with plane. But join Geeks on a Train anyway for a daylong jaunt to Philadelphia, where we’ll take a tour of the latest and greatest in Philly’s tech scene.

Maryland Entrepreneur Expo: A full day of showing off Maryland’s entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and community. It starts with a regional TechBreakfast pulling in startups from in state, Virginia and D.C. After that, a fail conference, office hours “on steroids” with top advisers from around the region, sessions on raising funding and the unveiling of the winner of the Pitch Across Maryland competition. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 7:30 a.m. BWI Airport Marriott, 1743 W. Nursery Rd., Linthicum Heights, Anne Arundel County. RSVP. $120, $70 for students.
BmoreTech Meetup: Technically Baltimore’s homegrown meetup is back in action at Cynergy in Little Italy to talk about the interactive and design community in the city. Arrive at 6 for free food and beer, and then hear from Mike Wolf, principal architect at Cynergy, David Gracylalny, dean of professional and continuing studies at Maryland Institute College of Art, and Andy Mangold, one-quarter of the Friends of The Web crew. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 6 p.m. Cynergy, 505 S. Exeter St., Little Italy, Baltimore city. RSVP. FREE.
Baltimore Lean Startup Meetup: A hurricane can only delay a meeting of Sarge Salman’s Lean Startup Group. Head to TowsonGlobal Incubator for a night devoted to the programs, people and resources in our fair city to help out startup founders. Bonus: attendees will receive a 50 percent discount to the application fee required for the InvestMaryland ChallengeWednesday, Nov. 14, 6:30 p.m. TowsonGlobal Incubator, 7801 York Rd., Towson, Baltimore County. RSVP. FREE.
Baltimore Social Media Group: It’s the second installment of the Baltimore Social Media Meetup, where your hosts will be talking about how to build identity, and trust, online. (Because, after all, how do we really know you say who you are on Twitter, anyway?). Thursday, Nov. 15, 6:30 p.m. El Rodeo Tex-Mex Cantina and Grill, 28 Allegheny Ave., Towson, Baltimore County. RSVP. $15.
Geeks on a Train: We’re going to Philadelphia, Baltimore. (See what we did there?) Join gb.tc and the Technical.ly crew (that’s Technically Philly and Technically Baltimore) for a trip around Philadelphia’s tech underworld (which is no way underground, minus subway rides). (While we can’t promise we’ll put all the day’s events in parentheticals, we can promise visits to a fab lab, an incubator/coworking space, City Hall and a lunch provided by the City of Brotherly Love’s food trucks.) Friday, Nov. 16, 8 a.m. Philadelphia. RSVP. FREE.
