Jessica Alba, Carmelo Anthony to headline TechCrunch Disrupt NY next week

TechCrunch Disrupt brings the technorati to Red Hook this year.

TechCrunch Disrupt NY crosses the river into to Brooklyn this year. The annual conference of founders, VCs and tech celebrities will take place Monday through Wednesday of next week, in Red Hook.
Carmelo Anthony, founder of Melo7 Tech Partners, LLC, and also a forward for the New York Knicks, is a featured speaker. He will speak with his business partner Stuart Goldfarb in a talk called “From NBA to ROI.” Melo grew up in Red Hook, and his investments have been in New York and sports-based, primarily, including DraftKings, SeatGeek and MakeSpace.
Another headliner is Jessica Alba, cofounder of the eco-friendly ecommerce family products brand Honest. Honest raised $100 million last year at a $1.7 billion private valuation and figures to compete with major retailers like Amazon. She’ll be speaking Wednesday morning in a talk called “Get Honest.”
Brooklyn’s own Charlie O’Donnell, founder of Brooklyn Bridge Ventures, will be one of the judges on Startup Battlefield Session 2 alongside Ajay Agarwal from Bain Capital Ventures and Joanne Wilson of Gotham Gal Ventures.
General admission tickets for the event are available online for only $2,995.
