Announcement of additional layoffs comes nearly three months after London-based GlaxoSmithKline completed its purchase of the Rockville-based biotechnology firm, as Technically Baltimore reported in August.
Human Genome services and GlaxoSmithKline had collaborated since 2006 on a new drug for treating lupus, Benlysta, which was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in March 2011.
