You’ve all been waiting for it and our frenemies at Geekadelphia have been waiting for it the longest: the FourSquare Phanatic Badge.
In all its blue, red and Liberty Bell glory, the Phanatic Badge is the fruit of Geekadelphia’s labor to win the #VisitUS Foursquare competition held last month. Though five other cities won the #VisitUS battle — Baltimore, Richmond, Des Moines, Oklahoma City and Stamford — Philadelphia seems to have won the unofficial FourSquare Cities war, as Geekadelphia reported last night.
Although Philadelphia did not win the #VisitUS contest, Geekadelphia reports that FourSquare asked them to partner in creating the badge anyway.
The winning list, masterminded by Geekadelphia’s Allie Harcharek, contains no less than 67 Philly must-see spots, though you only need to check in to five to unlock the badge. Nearly 3,000 people are already following the Philly list on FourSquare.
