The funny thing about the upcoming holidays is that all of Philadelphia tries to pack in their events in first few weeks of December leaving us with a jam packed events calendar. Luckily, we comb through all of the tech listings to pluck out the gems so you dont have to.
This week, save the world with social media, build robots at Hive76 and drink with some entrepreneurial types.

Crowdsourcing Change: Applied Use Social Web – The folks at PhillyCHI have invited speakers to chat about three case studies of social media use in charities and non-profits. Projects include the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) and the AIDS Policy Project. Tuesday, December 7th – 6:00 p.m. Center City.
Philly Startup Leaders Happy Hour – We love meetups where the only thing on the agenda is drinking beer. Hang out with Philly’s finest entrepreneurs at Philadelphia Brewery and Restaurant the unoriginally named but brand spankin’ new bar in Old City. Tuesday, December 7th – 6:30 p.m. Old City.
Philadelphia Robotics Group Meetup – No matter how old we get here at Technically Philly, we sill believe in one universal truth: robots are cool. Come express your inner child at Hive76 as they chat about robotics. Oh, and knowing those guys, it’ll be very hands on. Thursday, December 9th – 7:00 p.m. Callowhill.
