We’re torn, Philadelphia.
On one hand, we dread Labor Day as we are enjoying this summer way too much to see it end. On the other, the unofficial start of Fall usually means more events and this post becomes much easier to write.
This week is all meetups so take this week easy guys, you’re gonna need it come October. After the jump, Mac users don’t leave their home, Hive opens up and Linux users gather.
Tuesday, August 31st: Lets face it, sometimes that whole “leaving your house” part of a meetup can be a pain. Thanks to an issue with the scheduled speaker, the Mac Business Users will be meeting virtually via DimDim. The group promises to resume the normal schedule next month. Virtually. 6:30 p.m. [INFO]
Wednesday, September 1st: As two mac users and a PC guy, the extend of TP’s Linux knowledge starts and ends at hours of frustration trying to get wireless to work in Ubuntu (curse you, ndiswrapper). PLUG central is gathering at USP to cater to guys like us with its September meeting focusing on “command-line tools you’ve never heard of” which for us is, um, all of them. West Philly. 7 p.m. [INFO]
Wednesday, September 1st: If Linux ain’t your thing, take an hour to tour hacker space Hive76 home to howto classes and the occasional Starcraft 2 tournament. Oh, and there will be pizza. Spring Garden. 8 p.m. [INFO]
