Etsy shares will be available for purchase on April 16, according to Equities.com, which estimates a $250 million fundraise at a $1.67 billion market capitalization (the value of all the shares combined). The shares will list on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
According to a story in the Wall Street Journal (that’s behind a pay wall, so we’ll link you to Fortune), Etsy is saying on its road show that it will limit retail investors to $2,500 worth of stock, so more people can get in on the initial IPO. Fortune also reports that the sale is expected to start next week.
We recently explored the pros and cons of investing in Etsy and broke down its status as a B Corporation in the midst of the IPO process.
