Electric Literature celebrates its 100th issue

The literary journal committed to early adoption celebrates its 100th issue.

As its name implies, Electric Literature is a journal that does not shy from the digital future. That forward looking attitude appears to have worked. The group is about to celebrate its 100th issue with a party on April 28th in Manhattan. Details here.

Here’s how its editor, Benjamin Samuel, of Crown Heights, described the journal’s commitment to innovation in an email, “We built our reputation as pioneers in the digital publishing space. We were the first fiction magazine with an iPhone app, and the first to tweet a story. Recommended Reading is the first major fiction magazine to publish directly to Tumblr. We just released a new iOS app, and we also recently released our second novel as an eBook.”

The party is only $10. Smart people will speak on smart things. Beer from Gowanus’s Sixpoint Brewery.
