Naomi Clark is taking a stance against elitism in gaming.
Specifically, as she wrote on her website, “An elitism defined by the absence of taste, or simply by bad taste: an overweening concern with effective production of profit-generating emotional payoff that’s grown homogenous through the optimization of business practices and Metacritic scores.”
The researcher and gamer will talk at the NYU Game Center on March 3, with a presentation called Tasting Games: Nutrition, Preference, Flavor and Play.
Interested in what you’re hearing? The event is free and open to the public.
