CoFoundersLab won the Pitch Across Maryland competition, announced at November's Entrepreneur Expo.

The crowd of 350 that funneled into the BWI Airport Marriott on Tuesday morning for the 2012 Maryland Entrepreneur Expo had dwindled to less than one-third once the clock struck 4:30 p.m.
But for eight startups who were chosen among 160 other companies that competed in the Pitch Across Maryland competition, this was their moment. After an hour and a half, the startups had pitched, the judges had deliberated, and CoFoundersLab was chosen as the winner of the Pitch Across Maryland competition, with Woofound as the runner-up.

Frank Bonsal III, a partner with Bonsal Capital and one of four judges that evaluated the eight presenting startups, said the judging panel was interested in the startups’ capabilities for “near-term application” of products or services they were developing.
While no prize money or seed funding was awarded to the winner and runner-up, all the companies that pitched at the Expo will receive complimentary marketing packages from DAASN, and CoFoundersLab and Woofound will receive feature articles in Business Monthly.
In addition to the eight finalists, the top three “view-vote” recipients were named: Foodem, SurveySnap and Pandion 5D. Those three companies will present at the sold-out Maryland Entrepreneur Awards tonight.
