The city continues to roll out redesigned government websites, and Parks and Recreation is next up on the list of shiny and new ones. The site’s style is consistent with that of of the phila.gov landing site, redesigned back in February.
The new site organizes all park-specific permits on one page and also offers a search tool to find the recreational facility or activity for which you’re looking.

In the past few months, the city has launched a new City Planning Commission site and a new Licenses and Inspections site, which Chief Innovation Officer Adel Ebeid previously listed as priorities along with the Parks and Recreation site and the Procurement site. Regarding that list of priorities, all that’s left is Procurement, which still looks like this.
The next step, one would hope, is to work on the government websites that provide services, like the city’s contracts and tax-paying websites, which are only compatible with Internet Explorer. Councilman Bill Green has targeted these websites with a bill he introduced in October.
