While security checkpoint lines at airports aren’t going away, free Internet might appease travelers in need of online access. On Monday, BWI-Thurgood Marshall Airport announced that free Internet service, in addition to the paid service already available, will be accessible, reports the Baltimore Sun.
Users of the free service will see a brief advertisement before beginning the 45-minute wireless session. Customers can use as many free sessions as they want. Now, those who choose to pay a fee will get faster bandwidth and commercial-free wireless service for $4.95 an hour or $7.95 for 24 hours of access. [more]
The free Wi-Fi is thanks to Advanced Wireless Group, a Miami-based company that installs Wi-Fi networks in airports and similarly large venues through the U.S.
